OARC 40 COVID-19 Protocol

Admission Requirements

With most workshop attendees working on DNS - which is critical infrastructure - we must take responsitibility to ensure a safe event.

People attending OARC 40 onsite in Atlanta must

  • be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no later than February 2nd, 2023
  • and, show proof of a negative Rapid Antigen Test taken no earlier than 22:00 the night before picking up the badge at the registration desk 

If you are not appropriately vaccinated for this workshop, and we request that you join us for OARC 40 virtually.

People who cannot show proof of vaccination and a negative Rapid Antigen Test result will be turned away. There will be no exceptions.

There will be a requirement for appropriate vaccination in the registration agreement for those attending onsite in Atlanta.


Onsite Process

  • All onsite attendees will be required to validate their vaccination status by providing their vaccination record + I.D upon check-in
    • Acceptable proofs of vaccination include a vaccination record
  • All onsite attendees will be required to provide the results of a Rapid Antigen Test (Lateral Flow Test) when they arrive to pick up their badge at the registration desk. 
    • These can be:
      • live test in-person
      • app result - timestamped no earlier than 22:00 the night before you pick up your badge
      • photo of test result - timestamped no earlier than 22:00 the night before you pick up your badge
    • Attendees who are able to demonstrate a vaccination booster within the past 3 months may be exempted from the testing requirement at OARC's discretion.
    • NOTE: OARC will provide Rapid Antigen tests at no charge for all delegates and you will be handed a test kit after the first test result is shown.
  • Tests will be available at Registration
    • 13:00 EST to 16:00 EST Wednesday Feb 15 
    • Day 1 09:00 EST until close 
    • Day 2 09:30 EST until close
  • Temperature checks may be performed
  • If onsite and you test positive for COVID-19 or become feverish or develop other symptoms, you must not attend the workshop. Notify meeting@dns-oarc.net to report your illness, seek medical attention, and comply with local health regulations.

Encouraged Behaviours

  • Where available, attendees should have included a booster shot in their COVID-19 vaccination course.
  • We also encourage that everyone attending onsite in Atlanta takes a Lateral Flow / Antigen Test before travel and on Day 2 of the Workshop, and stay away if they test positive for COVID-19.
  • Similarly, we strongly encourage people attending at onsite at the venue in Atlanta to wear a mask at all times, and comply with any other venue safety measures.
    • OARC will provide masks at no charge for all delegates


Those of you that feel uncomfortable traveling to Atlanta and have already paid for the in-person experience are welcomed to modify your meeting registration to the virtual option with no penalty. Please contact meeting@dns-oarc.net if you wish to change your registration type.

 

Likewise, if you have paid for a virtual attendance registration and wish to attend in person in Atlanta, you are welcome to modify your meeting registration to an in-person one by contacting meeting@dns-oarc.net and paying the difference in registration fee.

Attendance at OARC 40 is at your own risk, and OARC accepts no responsibility for any health consequences of doing so. Your own safety is ultimately your responsibility.
