Description
ISC has been operating the DNSSEC Look-aside validation registry for several years now. DLV allows a DNSSEC domain to validate before its parent is DNSSEC signed. We believe that the time has come to wean people off of this transition mechanism, and back onto using the chain of trust to the root.
Summary
We would like to get feedback from the OARC audience on our proposed schedule and phase plan for eventually decommissioning the DLV. There are still thousands of active DLV users, and many distributions, FAQs and on-line configuration documents that recommend using the DLV. We would like to have the support of the OARC community before taking these steps.
