COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY (UPDATED November 16, 2023)
The health and safety of DNS-OARC meeting participants and staff remains our top priority. We periodically review our COVID-19 policies to ensure alignment with public health recommendations and local guidelines. The current policies apply for in-person meetings for 2024.
Vaccinations and masking:
- We no longer require evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations for attendance at our meetings, but we strongly recommend that our participants be fully vaccinated.
- Masks are not required but are recommended in all indoor public/shared spaces within the conference venue.
- To ensure the safety of our attendees, we ask that everyone tests themselves prior to the meeting and that you bring COVID-19 test kits and masks with you. There may be some available with staff at the registration desk.
Unsure if the person you're wanting to visit with is physically distancing?
We'll have colored stickers available when you pick up your badges to help you communicate to those around you which measures you are practicing. A red will mean no contact, yellow is elbows only while being cautious, and green is handshakes or high fives with frequent sanitizing.
Travel and testing:
- Participants are responsible for ensuring compliance with any local requirements for travel (including proof of vaccination) and testing for COVID-19 infection.
- If you are unable to travel due to positive results, other illness, or conflicts of another nature please consider taking advantage of our online registration to view our conferences virtually.
Questions:
Participants should contact us at meeting@dns-oarc.net with any questions regarding these policies or for up-to-date health and safety information for specific conference venues.
