OARC 45 Call for Contribution - Now Open

Date - 7-8 October 2025
Location - Stockholm, Sweden
Time zone - approximately 10:00 (08:00 UTC) -17:00 (15:00 UTC) UTC +2
Adjacent to the Netnod Tech Meeting 2025 (October 9, 2025)

Submission requirements

  • Topic must be related to DNS
  • 10 or 20 minutes (there will be additional 5 min of Q&A following each talk)
  • Will be broadcast live and recorded for future reference
  • Presentation slides will be publicly available before, during and after the meeting

Acceptance Criteria

  • Proposals should be at a high technical level suitable to the audience
  • Submissions should include draft slides or at least detailed description of the proposed talk content
  • The PC might request improvements to slides before and after talk acceptance

All DNS-related subjects and discussion topics are welcome!

Here’s a non-exhaustive list of ideas:

  1. Operations & Deployment
    • Configuration management, deployment processes, and interoperability experiences.
    • Tools, tips, and making effective use of DNS software features.
  2. Performance, Resilience & Scaling
    • Provisioning, load-balancing, and planning for resilience.
    • DNS performance management, efficiency improvements, and metrics.
    • Monitoring infrastructure: log pipelines, analytics, and anomaly detection.
  3. Security, Privacy & Policy
    • DoS attacks, DNS abuse, DNSSEC signing and validation.
    • Privacy considerations, for example: encrypted transport, qname minimization, data anonymization.
    • Relevant global and regional policies, legislation, and compliance.
  4. Research & Innovation
    • Data-driven testing, measurement, and analysis.
    • New protocols, protocol extensions, and next-generation namespace management.
  5. Lessons & Learnings
    • Outage experiences, recovery stories, and cautionary tales.
