DNS-OARC is aware of the situation concerning the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak and how this may impact attendance and travel arrangements for OARC32.
The health and safety of everyone participating in our global DNS community is an important priority to DNS-OARC, and we are closely monitoring the situation.
We regret but understand that a small number of our attendees are unable to be at OARC32 due to this outbreak and related state-imposed travel restrictions. However, as the majority of our attendees for this one-day workshop are from North America, we do not anticipate it will have a major impact on our plans for OARC32.
Such situations are nonetheless fluid and subject to change. We recommend that all OARC32 attendees remain alert, monitor the situation and their own health, and consult information from official sources in their home country. Official information on 2019-NCoV from The US government Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and World Health Organization (WHO), are available at:
Please seek professional medical advice if you have concerns about the potential impact of this on your own health condition(s), and of course do not travel if you exhibit symptoms or feel unwell.
If you are unable to travel to OARC32 for any reason related to nCoV, please let us know via <admin@dns-oarc.net>, and we'll do our best to facilitate your participation in OARC32 remotely and/or an alternative future workshop.
DNS-OARC will continue to monitor the nCoV situation and update this statement as needed.
